ISA Symposium at the AFDN Study Days 2026

The International Sweeteners Association (ISA) is pleased to participate in the AFDN Study Days 2026, organised by the French Association of Dietitian-Nutritionists (Association Française des Diététiciens Nutritionnistes – AFDN), taking place in Lille, France, from 22 to 24 October 2026.

The AFDN Study Days offer a high-quality scientific and educational programme, together with valuable networking opportunities for dietitians and nutrition professionals from France and abroad. The event will address a range of current topics in food and nutrition.

As part of the programme, the ISA is organising a scientific symposium on Thursday 22 October 2026, from 13:00 to 14:00 CET, entitled “Low/no calorie sweeteners: Glycaemic control and communication tools for dietetic practice”.

Low/no calorie sweeteners play an important role in sugar-reduction strategies, yet patients often have questions about their use, particularly in relation to diabetes, glycaemic control and safety. At a time when healthcare professionals may encounter conflicting information, the ISA symposium will provide dietitians and nutrition professionals with a clear and rigorous update on the scientific evidence, together with practical communication guidance. Through two complementary presentations and an interactive discussion, participants will gain insights to help them address common patient questions, distinguish established evidence from myths, and provide balanced, accessible information tailored to individual needs.

Topic:
Low/no calorie sweeteners
