Low/no calorie sweeteners, obesity & cardiometabolic health – An interview with Dr John Sievenpiper

Two new systematic reviews and meta-analyses of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and prospective cohort studies showed that substituting sugar-sweetened beverages with low/no calorie sweetened drinks can help reduce body weight, obesity and other cardiometabolic risk factors in adults with overweight or obesity who are at risk for or have diabetes.

In this interview Dr John Sievenpiper, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada, discusses about the outcomes of the studies.
