20th conference of Institut Pasteur de Lille

20 years’ celebration of the conference of the Institut Pasteur de Lille. 20 years of loyalty, 20 years of trust, 20 years of new nutrition. This will be the theme of the first day of the conference of the Institut Pasteur de Lille, which is taking place on 14th and 15th June 2018 in Lille, France.

Gathering together leading academics and health professionals, this conference will, during the first day, look at the evolution of knowledge in nutrition and aim to help distinguish true from false information, revolutions from scoops. The following two lessons are worth highlighting:

  • the need to be constantly connected to the right sources because the concepts evolve and practices change,
  • caution in our words and our assertions because what is right today may not be so tomorrow.

The second theme selected for this conference is crucial and innovative at the same time. Because from conception onwards, and even before then, and throughout pregnancy, the mother’s lifetsyle but also that of the father, their food and eating behaviour, as well as their environment can have consequences on the health of the unborn child and the future adult they will become. A fascinating subject that will be explored during the second day of this conference.
