The International Sweeteners Association (ISA) is happy to invite you to the virtual roundtable ‘Talking Sweet Science: Is Your Sweet Tooth Set in Stone? What a New Study Tells Us About Sweet Taste, Diet, and Public Health’, taking place on Tuesday 16th December at 3PM CET.
Join this engaging fireside chat with three researchers from the Sweet Tooth Trial, one of the most comprehensive long-term studies to date examining the impact of sweet taste exposure on dietary preferences, eating behaviour, and health outcomes.
During the session, the researchers will present key findings that challenge common assumptions about sweetness and diet. You could discover why sweet taste preferences appear remarkably stable over time and why increased exposure to dietary sweetness did not alter eating behaviour or health indicators.
The discussion will also explore the implications of these results for healthcare professionals and their potential influence on future public health recommendations.
Moderator: Laurent Oger, Director General, ISA
Speakers:
- Professor Kees de Graaf, Wageningen University, the Netherlands
- Dr Monica Mars, Wageningen University, the Netherlands
- Professor Katherine Appleton, Bournemouth University, UK
