On the occasion of the 24^th European Congress on Obesity in May 2017, in Porto, and of the ISA symposium there, the ISA interviewed Prof Maria Hassapidou about the role low calorie sweeteners can play in sugar reduction, looking at the reasons why it is important to reduce overall sugar intake, and how low calorie sweeteners can help people follow a lower-sugar diet while managing their desire for sweet taste.
