56th AFDN Congress

The 56th Congress of the French Dietitians and Nutritionists Association (AFDN – Association Française des Diététitiens Nutritionnistes) will be held this year from 7th to 9th June in the South-East of France, in Antibes. The 56th AFDN congress is expected to bring together over 700 health professionals from across France, including doctors, dietitians and nutritionists, as well as experts in nutrition and diet, and student in dietetics.

With a high quality scientific programme, this congress will bring the opportunity to participants to be updated on latest scientific information in the area of nutrition and dietetics.

On this occasion, the International Sweeteners Association (ISA) is proud to organise a symposium on Friday 8th June 2018, from 13h30 to 14h30 (local time). Entitled “Role and benefits of low calorie sweeteners: latest scientific news and tasty recipes!”, the ISA symposium will bring together an expert in nutrition and a chef whom will include:

  • Audrey Aveaux, Dietitian-Nutritionnist based in Paris (France), who will present the latest scientific evidence around the benefits of low calorie sweeteners and the role they can play when used as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle;
  • Christian CottardChef Pâtissier based in Antibes (France), who will show us how to use low calorie sweeteners in practice, and will prepare on this occasion tasty desserts in which he will replace sugar with low calorie sweeteners.
