Celebrating 40 years of dietetic leadership, the EFAD Conference 2018, themed “Let’s make the difference”, is organised by the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD) in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on 28th and 29th September 2018. For yet another year, the conference will bring together dietitians from around Europe to discuss latest evidence on nutrition and dietetic research and practice, to address a wide range of topics relevant to dietitians today and to explore future areas of interest for dietitians.
The International Sweeteners Association (ISA) proudly supports and participates in the EFAD Conference for the fourth time this year, acknowledging the important role that dietitians play in raising awareness of and educating people towards a healthy diet.
ISA activities at EFAD Conference 2018 include an ISA information booth in the exhibition area during the whole duration of the congress. The ISA would like to kindly invite all participants to visit its information booth in order to address any questions on low calorie sweeteners and to receive information about the forthcoming ISA Conference 2018 on “The science behind low calorie sweeteners: where evidence meets policy”, which will take place in London, UK, on 6th November 2018.
The ISA also supports a talk by Prof Katherine Appleton, Bournemouth University (UK), entitled “Sweet taste exposure and preference for sweet taste in the diet”. This talk is part of the session “Hot topics in obesity and diabetes”, which is taking place on Friday, 28th September 2018, at 16:00-17:30 (Room: Penn).
